Cupping Therapy

Myofascial decompression cupping is a therapy that helps treat musculoskeletal disorders by using suction to create negative pressure underneath the cup. The negative pressure helps to decompress the area by lifting the skin and fascia (the layer of tissue underneath the skin) up into the cup. This creates space for the underlying tight muscle to lay down and relax.

Benefits:

  • Assists in breaking up scar tissue or adhesions that may be present

  • Decreasing myofascial dysfunctions

  • Increasing blood flow to a slow healing muscle, tendon or ligament

  • Reduction of scar tissue formation

  • Aids in releasing trigger points, decreasing tightness in a muscle and surrounding fascia

  • Increased mobility, fewer restrictions
